In his latest video, Iron Pinapple--who has an excellent YouTube channel that is dedicated exclusively to Souls and Souls-like games--walked everyone through his journey to defeat Elden Ring as a pacifist. While the game eventually becomes quite complicated due to the speedrun glitches as well as clever build synergies Pineapple never broke one single rule: Do no direct damage to basic enemies and bosses alike.
"I think the entire run took about 45 hours," Iron Pineapple told MMOexp via email. "Most of it was spent just doing some prepping and running around for the run, and I got stuck with a handful of bosses."
Fortunately for would-be Elden Ring pacifists out there the game offers all the tools you need to begin your journey. Iron Pineapple was initially a Prophet class for its healing properties and selected to use the Fanged Imp Ashes as his bonus item. The entire plan was to make use of games' NPC summons, and act as an auxiliary class. Since the summons are doing all the damage, Iron Pineapple's goal was to boost and heal them in the same way.
As shown in the video below Iron Pineapple's quest for a new home ran into several dead ends, some of which took him down routes that were ultimately unsuccessful.
