, the world where the Diablo series takes place. Instead of previous games that was a gradual building up towards the big boss responsible for all the evil that exists in our world Blizzard put Lilith up ahead from the beginning of the cutscene.
The playable building begins in Fractured Peaks. My hero's horse being killed leaving him trapped in a cave by himself for the night. From the caves emerged the first destination, Nevesk, a very small town where things aren't the way they seem.
Lilith did already have an impact on the people who lived there, and her true impact is due to her having people indulge in their darker sides. This was the first encounter my character had with other NPCs, and it was evident that the creators intended to give the hero a greater role in the story, by giving them their own dialogue and taking roles as a cutscene.
In the city of Nevesk where Lilith's impact on the residents of Sanctuary is demonstrated. There's far more to her than simply being evil. This sets her as an interesting antagonist when compared with other Great Evils in previous Diablo titles.
